In today's modern society more and more people are becoming more sick and not understanding why. There are many approaches to holistic health and the ketogenic approach is one of them.

Many people that have type 2 diabetes find this way of eating very beneficial to them.

In a nutshell, dark green leafy vegetables and good oils form base of eating plan with moderate protein and 50g or less of net carbs. Net carbs is the number of carbs after fibre has been taken away.

So how does this look?

A typical breakfast could be an egg and mushroom omelette cooked in olive oil...but wait...no bread, no rice, no potatoes, no sugar, no pasta. This allows the body to go to fat storage as fuel...aka ketosis.

What about lunch?

An big green avocado salad sounds perfect. What about dinner? You can have moderate protein (organic as possible) with broccoli cooked in coconut oil. The majority of the public are still afraid of healthy saturated fats...as they have been told so...not knowing they are missing out on so many benefits.

Coconut oil and olive oil does not effect blood sugar is one of them.

It is for your information that eating too much protein can turn into carbs if not worked off. Not eating bread, rice, sugar, potatoes and pasta gives your body a cleaner fuel than carbs and is beneficial to the body.

This way of eating has helped so many people get energy and a better nights sleep. Chemical based diet pills are not required. Just cut out the carbs and see/feel the difference.

You can go the extra mile and incorporate Intermittent Fasting into this way of eating.

It's when you eat at 12 noon end at 8pm and eat again the next day at 12 noon. This has very positive effect on insulin sensitivity.
